Turbulence plugin, setting input plane

The maximum value within the whole domain of TI is 3.38% (with (1/3) in the sqrt) while the target value is 8%. If I was to spatial average I get a maximum of 2.47% (with (1/3) in the sqrt). Periodicity here is in both y and z

Maybe its worth us having a quick Zoom call if you have time, to see if we can get to the bottom of the issue. Email me directly (p.vincent@imperial.ac.uk) and we can set something up?

Hello,

I have read this post with interest, as I am also dabbling with the turbulence plugin. However, in my case, I use artificial compressibility Navier Stokes simulations.

I was wondering if a test case already existed for a simple configuration, like a 3D duct, to validate the usage of the turbulence plugin with ac-navier-stokes. I have not had much success in generating any type of turbulence so far.

Best,
Remi

Hello,

an update on this thread. I was able to make it work, the input plane has a finite thickness therefore just moving it into the domain makes things working as expected.

Thank you for your work

Best regards
