Furthermore, regarding the PyFR 2.0 branch, I would like to inquire if there are plans for any updates beyond the 2.0.3 release. Your insights on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
PyFR v2.1 is currently in the release candidate stage and is undergoing testing. We will release when all known issues have been fixed.
It is not expected that there will be another release of v2.0.x given v2.1 is mostly compatible.

I’m a bit puzzled about the version naming thing. Before, we always had three numbers like 1.15.0 or 2.0.3. But now, this version just has two numbers, why ？
We are trying to move away from unnecessary point releases. In the past they have often contained important bug fixes but users have deferred updating as they perceive the change as minor.
