# Saving conserved variables in .vtu files

Hi!

I was wondering if there is a way, when running the _pyfr export_ command, to write the conserved variables into the .vtu files, rather than converting them to the primitive variables.

No. However you can easily transform back using the calculator feature in ParaView.
