# Ascent installation

Hello,

I know that this is not an ascent support group but would you be able to share how you were able to install ascent from source it with its dependencies on a hpc environment and make pyfr recognize it?

The ascent documentation has a ton of information and a number of ways you can do this: [Building Ascent — Ascent 0.9.3 documentation](https://ascent.readthedocs.io/en/latest/BuildingAscent.html)

You might want to try checking that out. If you have problems, the Ascent team is really helpful, and you can raise issues on GitHub.
